Woodmill Farm is a real family affair; our daughter Laura
who is 16 now helps with the day to day running of
Woodmill, is responsible for the ponies and helps with the
cleaning on changeover day. Steven our son is only 11 and
is head chicken feeder! Mum is our chief scone maker whilst
Dad tends to our allotments—it's all hands on deck
initially; even my Aunt has been over from Spain to catch
up with de-nettling!
We would like to create an atmosphere of freedom, so when
guests arrive they are not just on holiday in the
cotttages, but feel welcome to enjoy our animals and space,
blending in with us and our lifestyle. We would like them
to feel they are part of our extended family.
Our lifestyle has changed dramatically since we took over
Woodmill in January, and it is a twenty-four-hour a day
job. Our vision for Woodmill is to be as self-sufficient
and sustainable as possible. This fits in nicely with our
architecture business which also
prioritises sustainability with each scheme....
