Woodmill Farm is a real family affair; our daughter Laura
who is 19 now, helps with the day to day running of
Woodmill, is responsible for the ponies and helps with all
aspects of the farm when she is back from university.
Steven our son is only 14 and is in charge of the wood
store for winter amongst other duties, when he is not on
the golf course! Mum is our chief fruit picker whilst Dad
tends to our allotments — it's all hands on deck; even my
Aunt has moved back from Spain to catch up with
de-nettling! We hope we have created an atmosphere of
freedom, so our guests feel that they are not just on
holiday in the cottages, but welcome to enjoy our animals
and space, blending in with us and our lifestyle. We would
like them to feel that they are all part of our extended
family.
A few health scares for Michelle and stern advice from the
doctors through 2009/2010 has led us to review things here
at Woodmill. To ensure that the high standards that we have
attained in the cottages are continued we have decided to
partner with Cornish Gems, a five-star management company
who will deal with the marketing, bookings and preparation
of your cottage. This change will allow us as a family to
enjoy the adventures of Woodmill with our guests for years
to come.
Our lifestyle has changed dramatically since we took over
Woodmill in January 2007, and it is a twenty-four-hour a
day job. Our vision for Woodmill is to be as
self-sufficient and sustainable as possible. This fits in
nicely with our architecture business which also
prioritises sustainability with each scheme....
